Individual Lessons at Mesilla Valley Golf Academy
Mesilla Valley Golf Academy offers individual golf lessons for juniors and adults who want personalized coaching in a focused, supportive environment. Lessons are designed to meet each player where they are and support long-term improvement through clear goals, simple priorities, and practical feedback.
For juniors, individual lessons align with our Path to Par (P2P) philosophy. While Path to Par scoring is primarily used in group programs, private lessons support the same concepts by improving the skills that directly influence scoring, including putting, short game, approach shots, and tee shots. Lessons may complement Junior Classes, PGA Jr. League, camps, or serve as a standalone option.
For adults, lessons focus on fundamentals, consistency, confidence, and enjoyment of the game. Whether you are new to golf or returning after time away, lessons are tailored to your experience level and goals.
Lessons are available as single sessions or three-lesson series and are taught by PGA Professionals, Associates, and Students at both Red Hawk Golf Club and Sonoma Ranch Golf Course.

MVGA COaches
Our MVGA coaches set the standard for professionalism, safety, and care. All adult coaches are PGA of America Members, Students, or Associates who are committed to lifelong learning and high coaching standards. Every coach has passed a background check and completed required youth safety, sexual abuse prevention, and CPR training. Most importantly, our coaches care deeply about creating a positive, welcoming environment where players and families can feel confident, supported, and safe on and off the golf course.
Our coaching staff works under the guidance and tutelage of award-winning instructor Henry Stetina. Henry is the 2026 PGA National Youth Player Development of the Year Award winner and a three-time Sun Country Section Youth Player Development of the Year, along with being a four-time Sun Country Teacher and Coach of the Year. He has been recognized by Golf Digest as the #1 Teacher in New Mexico since 2020 and has been named among the Top 100 Teachers in the Country under 40 years old since 2021.
